Educational Information Fair

The Yerevan EAC holds its annual Education Information Fair in October. The event is very popular among Armenian students and researchers. More than 1400 people attended the 10 th Educational Information Fair last year.

The purpose of the Fair is to disseminate information to the public on:

•  the activities/services of the EAC

•  the US educational system and study and research opportunities in the United States

• fellowship, scholarship, and exchange programs in Armenia for studying and conducting research in the United States .

Pre-Departure Orientation Session (PDO)

Every year the Yerevan EAC organizes a Pre-Departure Orientation session for the students who have been accepted to US colleges/universities through the independent application process.

The purpose of the PDO is to help the students better understand and prepare for their studies and new environment in the United States . During the PDO the following topics are discussed:

•  Passport and Visa Issues

•  Pre-Departure Preparations: What to Take

•  Arrival in the United States and Your First Days

•  The Campus Experience (Housing, Health Care and Insurance, Banking)

•  Academic Life

•  Cultural Adjustment

•  Alumni Panel

According to the statistics the Yerevan EAC has more than 15 students who have been accepted to US colleges and universities for 2006-07 academic year.

International Education Week (IEW)

The Yerevan EAC celebrates International Education Week (IEW) in November of every year conducting a series of events: special lectures and presentations, debates, roundtables, outreaches, visiting retirement homes, orphanages, meetings with international students etc.
